Nigerian Stock Market Dips By N12.02bn At End Of Trading Day

Trading activities ended on Monday in a loss, as the stock market capitalisation declined, with the ASI dropping by 0.40 percent.

The equity capitalisation stood at N20.26 trillion, a decline from N20.33 trillion.

The All-Share Index (ASI) fell to 38,712.55, a decline from 38,866.39.

The volume of shares rose from 160.64 million to 194.02 million recorded on Monday.

Deals traded on the stock exchange floor stood at 4,290 against 3,507.

Share values depreciated to N1.36 billion against N1.28 billion.

JAPAULGOLD: Opened at N0.63 kobo to close at N0.69 kobo, up 9.52 percent.

UAC: Opened at N0.75 kobo to close at N0.82 kobo, up 9.33 percent.

AFRIPRUD: Opened at N5.40 kobo to close at N5.85 kobo, up 8.33 percent.

ROYALEX: Opened at N0.36 kobo to close at N0.39 kobo, up 8.33 percent.

STERLINBANK: Opened at N1.56 kobo to close at N1.68 kobo, up 7.69 percent.

NAHCO: Opened at N2.20 kobo to close at N2.03 kobo, down 7.73 percent.

PZ: Opened at N4.85 kobo to close at N4.60, down 5.15 percent.

Leading the activity chart was FIDELITYBK with 30.87 million shares with a value of N77.62 million traded by investors.

Following was CHAMS with a share volume of 29.53 million with a value of N5.95 million.

ACCESS follows with 23.37 million shares valued at N188.98 million.
