Nigerian oil market officials expect gasoline prices at pumps in northern Nigeria could soar above 700 naira a liter from July. Mike Osatui, head of national administration for the Nigerian Independent Oil Dealers Association, said prices in the north could exceed 700 naira if independent distributors start importing agricultural products from July.
He said people living in northern states can pay up to 700 naira or more per liter of gasoline, while Lagos residents pay about 600 naira per liter, so people outside Lagos assume about 610 naira. said it should.
“What I see is around 600 Naira or more, depending on exchange rates, current international market oil prices and landing costs. We pay Naira plus, but northerners will pay 700 Naira or more,” he said. The downstream sector is now waiting for fresh petroleum products as Nigeria’s midstream and downstream petroleum regulators continue to issue licenses to operators willing to engage in import business.
Orphemi Adewole, secretary general of the Nigerian Petroleum Products Distributors Association, said NMDPRA is now granting licenses to more importers.
He said fresh food trading will begin in earnest from July, adding that product prices will depend on market fundamentals.
“Where do countries like Ghana, Benin and Cameroon get their products from? Isn’t it coming from Nigeria?” he said, referring to the smuggling of products from Nigeria to neighboring countries. asked. “Product pricing will depend on market fundamentals, but at the time we speak, the Nigerian Customs Department is delaying shipments of some AGO (diesel) vessels due to the 7.5% VAT. increase.
“And remember, all the costs incurred by the marketers are added to the cost of landing, which in turn adds to the pump price. I need to,” he said.
Tunji Oebanji, former chairman of the Nigerian Major Petroleum Dealers Association and chief executive officer and chairman of 11 companies, said on Monday that consumers expect new fuel prices to rise above diesel prices and neighboring African countries. You should expect it to be close to the price of . import gasoline.
As of June 19, gasoline prices in Ghana, Cameroon and Benin were already over NGN 800 per liter. Gasoline prices in Nigeria are currently around 495 Nigerian or more, while diesel prices are around 800 Nigerian per liter.
“The current truth is that if we look at the prices of other West African countries that also import gasoline, we can see what it will cost companies to start importing. If the price we have isn’t close to theirs, we’re not there yet.Another indicator should be the current price of diesel,” he said.
However, Oebanji added that the price could be lowered depending on the exchange rate. “The bottom line is that there will be price adjustments. Yes, it could go up now, but it could go down depending on the exchange rate. If it turns out to be more expensive than a local petrol station, it will be forced to lower the price so that customers can come to buy. There is healthy competition and that is good for the market.” said he.
Petrol prices surpass N/L 490 at Nigeria Major Oil Dealers Association owned stations and N/L at IPMAN stations across the country following the federal government’s official statement on deregulation of the downstream market after May 29. increased to over 500.
World bank stated that if Federal Government (FG) does not give palliatives to mitigate the effects of the newly imposed reforms, more people will be forced into poverty in Nigeria.
The financial institution also stated that Federal Government (FG) will save a total of ₦11 trillion as a result of the recent withdrawal of petrol subsidies.
However, the financial organization stated that if the government does not give palliatives to mitigate the effects of the newly imposed reforms, more people will be forced into poverty in Nigeria.
According to the latest Nigeria Development Update (NDU), over four million people will be forced into poverty between January and May 2023.
The bank stated in its report titled ‘Seizing the Opportunity’ that it is critical for the country to implement a comprehensive reform package that includes a variety of complementary measures, including a new social compact to protect the poor and most vulnerable, in order to maximize the collective impact on growth, job creation, and poverty reduction.
The NDU report says, ““The removal of the petrol subsidy and Foreign Exchange (FX) management reforms are crucial measures to begin to rebuild fiscal space and restore macroeconomic stability, and the opportunity should be seized to take further, necessary policy reform steps.
“In the first part of 2023, Nigeria’s economic growth weakened, and real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth fell from 3.3 percent in 2022 to 2.4 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) in Q1 2023. The challenging global economic context has put pressure on Nigeria’s economy.
“However, domestic policies play a major role in determining Nigeria’s economic performance and resilience to further external shocks. The previous mix of fiscal, monetary, and exchange rate policies, including the naira redesign program, did not deliver the desired improvements in growth, inflation, and economic resilience.
“The new government has recognised the need to chart a new course and has already made a start on critical reforms, such as the elimination of the petrol subsidy and reforms in the FX market.
“With the petrol subsidy removal, the government is projected to achieve fiscal savings of approximately ₦2 trillion in 2023, equivalent to 0.9 percent of GDP. These savings are expected to reach over ₦11 trillion by the end of 2025.”
Poverty
According to the global lender, the latest measures would have a more direct impact on the poor and vulnerable.
However, the bank urged that while policies are being implemented, measures be put in place to mitigate the impact on the poor.
According to the bank, the withdrawal of the petrol subsidy resulted in an increase in prices, which harmed poor and economically vulnerable Nigerian households.
“Petrol prices appear to have almost tripled following the subsidy removal,” the report reads.
“The poor and economically insecure households, who directly purchase and use petrol as well as those that indirectly consume petrol, are adversely affected by the price increase.
“Among the poor and economically insecure, 38 percent own a motorcycle and 23 percent own a generator that depends on petrol. Much more use petrol-dependent transportation.
“The poor and economically insecure households will face an equivalent income loss of ₦5,700 per month, and without compensation, an additional 7.1 million people will be pushed into poverty.”
Compensation
World bank said that “compensating transfers will be essential to help shield the most vulnerable Nigerian households from the initial price impacts of the subsidy reform, as without compensation, many households could be pushed into poverty by higher petrol prices and have to resort to coping mechanisms with long-term adverse consequences”.
Foreign Exchange rate
“Similarly, the move to harmonise the FX windows will help to improve the efficiency of the FX market, unlock private investment, and reduce inflationary pressures, but it is crucial to complete this important reform by removing FX restrictions, clearly communicating how the new FX regime will operate, and implementing supportive monetary and fiscal policies,” it added.
The 2023 commemoration of the annual Eid-Kabir has left a sour taste in the consciousness of millions of Nigerian consumers as a result of the high price of transportation, food items, and livestock, which are essentially used in the celebration of any festival. ThisDay reports…
This year’s edition was heralded by a period of rising cost of goods, prompted by fluctuating foreign exchange, removal of fuel subsidy and government transition, which has left many organizations unsettled.
According to a survey, most consumers have altered their consumption pattern in line with a workable scale of preference. Meanwhile, the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures the rate of change in prices of goods and services, rose to 22.41 per cent in May 2023, while the food inflation rate in May 2023 was 24.82 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
At various ram and pepper markets visited by our correspondent in Lagos on the eve of the Eid day, consumers expressed their displeasure at the rate prices of commodities and transportation rise as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy. However, there is a decline in the price of cooking gas, which has become a succor to many households.
A ram seller at Asade Market, Mangoro, Agege Lagos, Alhaji Muhamadu Anka, said price hike became necessary due to various factors affecting the business.
“I know how my customers feel this year but I’m helpless. The unexpected removal of fuel subsidy, which necessitated over 200 per cent on the price of fuel has become a big challenge as everybody has to factor it in. That is why the size of ram that would be sold for N50,000 in 2021 is being sold for between N100,000 and N200,000 this year. Years back, perhaps it was a cow that would attract as much as between N300,000 and N450,000 but this year, I have sold a N300,000 worth of ram and I have seen colleagues who sold the ones that were higher than that,” he said.
A civil servant with the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Mrs. Funmi Ogbe, though a Christian, argued that all Nigerian consumers are currently feeling the pain of the subsidy removal.
She said: “Prices of food items are no longer within the reach of the common man. I understand the Muslims will feel it more now because they are buying in bulk but the truth is that everybody is affected. We should not forget that the prices of some commodities like imported rice, yam and other items are still on the increase as of May 29 when the new administration took off. The oil subsidy removal was like pouring petrol on an existing fire, you can imagine the outcome. My only solace is the hope of the long term benefits of the subsidy removal.”
Though drivers of commercial vehicles complain of low turnout at various parks, passengers interviewed, shared their anguish in the midst of the hike in price of transportation.
At Iyana Ipaja park, Mallam Tiamiyu Sodehinde, said he had to tell his wife and children to remain in Lagos while he traveled to Ijebu for Salah.
He said: “This is the first time in long years that my family will remain in Lagos and I will travel home alone. It’s not economical to travel with my family now because of the high price of transportation but I have to go to attend our family meeting. With what I have seen and heard from neighbours in the last three days, the removal of fuel subsidies would further hinder others from joining their families for the joyous occasion of Eid.”

According research conducted by UEFA the removal of ‘Europa’ will develop the competition.

“It will be effective in the new cycle, as of the 2024/25 season.
“Together with the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Conference League will continue to deliver ‘Thursday Night Football’ to fans across Europe and beyond.

I am in Dubai for a few weeks speaking at events for global partners and will be spending an extra week which coincides with the Eid Al Adha a time for believer’s of the muslim faith to express gratitude, strengthen family bonds, engage in acts of kindness, and reflect upon the values of sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to God.
It’s an occasion that comes with holidays and acts of kindness that extend to both believers and non believers as demonstrated by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) President’s act of pardoning stands as a shining example of leadership that transcends boundaries and reminds us of the profound influence leaders can have on the lives of those they serve.
In a remarkable display of compassion and leadership, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) recently pardoned 988 inmates ahead of the auspicious occasion of Eid Al Adha.
This act of clemency not only exemplifies the spirit of forgiveness and mercy but also provides valuable leadership lessons that we can learn from.
As a leadership expert and transformational speaker, I want to share some of my personal insights on the leadership lessons we can draw from this remarkable act of the UAE President.
1. Demonstrating Empathy and Compassion
One of the most striking leadership lessons we can learn from the UAE President’s pardoning of inmates is the power of empathy and compassion. By extending forgiveness and granting pardons, the President showcases his understanding of the human condition and the potential for redemption. This act of mercy sends a powerful message that leaders who demonstrate empathy and compassion can inspire positive change and foster unity within their communities
Having worked closely with leaders and organisations in the UAE, I have witnessed the profound impact of empathy and compassion in fostering a positive work culture and driving meaningful change, and we see the role leadership plays in driving this.
2. Embracing Second Chances
The decision to pardon 988 inmates highlights the importance of embracing second chances as a leader. It recognizes that individuals can reform themselves and contribute positively to society when given the opportunity. Leaders who believe in the potential for growth and transformation within their teams and communities can create an environment that encourages personal development and provides avenues for individuals to make amends and rebuild their lives.
Drawing from my own journey of personal growth and transformation, I have enjoyed firsthand the transformative power of second chances. Leaders who believe in the potential for growth and provide opportunities for redemption can empower individuals to contribute positively to their organisations and communities.
3. Leading by Example
The UAE President’s act of pardoning serves as a compelling example of leadership by action. By taking a personal initiative to grant pardons, the President leads by example, emphasising the values of forgiveness and mercy. This act not only sets a precedent for others to follow but also establishes a moral framework that reflects positively on the nation’s leadership.
Reflecting on my interactions with leaders in the UAE, Leadership is not merely about making decisions from a position of authority; it’s about taking personal initiative and embodying the values you wish to instil in others. The UAE President’s act of pardoning serves as a shining example of leadership by action, inspiring others to follow suit.
4. Strengthening Social Cohesion
Leadership is not solely about making decisions that benefit a select few but rather fostering social cohesion and unity. The UAE President’s pardoning of inmates transcends individual cases and sends a powerful message of inclusivity and unity. This act promotes a sense of collective responsibility, reminding us that leaders have the ability to bridge divides and build a more harmonious society.
In the UAE, I have seen how leaders who prioritise social cohesion and inclusivity foster stronger and more resilient organisations. By pardoning the inmates ahead of a significant religious holiday, the UAE President sends a powerful message of unity, reminding us that leaders have the ability to bridge divides and create a harmonious society.
5. Upholding Cultural Values
Leadership that aligns with the cultural values of a nation can have a profound impact on society. The President’s decision to grant pardons ahead of Eid Al Adha, a significant religious holiday, demonstrates his understanding and respect for the values and traditions of the UAE. Leaders who are mindful of cultural sensitivities and make decisions that resonate with their people can inspire loyalty, trust, and a sense of belonging.
Having worked extensively in the UAE and the Middle East, I understand the significance of cultural values in leadership. Leaders who respect and uphold cultural values gain the trust and loyalty of their people. The President’s decision to grant pardons ahead of Eid Al Adha showcases his deep understanding and respect for the traditions and values of the UAE, setting an example for leaders to align their actions with the cultural fabric of their communities.
As leaders incorporate these lessons into their own practices, they can inspire positive transformation, foster unity, and make a lasting impact on their organisations and communities.
Conclusion
The decision to release these prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha encapsulates the holiday’s spirit of sacrifice and compassion. It aligns perfectly with the celebration’s ethos, emphasising forgiveness, compassion, and community.
This is a powerful reflection of empathetic leadership that reinforces the value of forgiveness and rehabilitation in societal leadership. The initiative serves as a reminder of the importance of incorporating compassion and empathy into leadership.
The pardoning act serves as an expression of the UAE’s forward-thinking approach to leadership. It has placed the nation in the global spotlight, casting a positive light on its system of justice and humanitarian values.
By demonstrating the transformative power of second chances, the UAE has highlighted the importance of rehabilitative justice over punitive measures. It fosters a sense of hope and unity among the population, reinforcing national solidarity and shared values.
Moreover, the pardoning of prisoners serves as a call to action for the global community, encouraging other nations to consider similar acts of clemency. It sets a precedent for compassionate leadership and underscores the importance of a more humanitarian approach to justice. The UAE is using its influence to push for global change, advocating for a leadership approach that believes in the potential of every individual for transformation and growth.
While the pardoning act itself is laudable, the broader message it sends about the UAE’s comprehensive approach to leadership and community building is equally commendable. By giving these individuals a second chance, the UAE invests in the potential for transformation, demonstrating a profound belief in human capability and resilience.
The road ahead for these individuals will require sustained efforts from both the leadership and the community at large to ensure successful reintegration into society.
As a leadership trainer, I believe that this exemplary act of compassionate leadership serves as a model for governments worldwide to balance justice with mercy. It reminds us of our shared humanity and the power of leadership that is rooted in empathy, compassion, and the belief in second chances

Contactless payments are a safe and convenient way to conduct transactions between payment devices such as pre-paid, debit, and credit cards, key fobs, mobile electronic devices, and wearable gadgets.
The apex bank stated in a circular signed by Musa Jimoh, director, CBN payments system management department, on Tuesday that due to the dangers involved with contactless payments, “verification and authorisation would be required for transactions above the limits.”

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that running Nigeria is one of the most difficult undertakings in life.
Buhari emphasized this in his Sallah message, which was signed by his spokeswoman, Garba Shehu, on Tuesday, emphasizing that leadership requires the participation and support of all citizens.
“Leading a country like Nigeria is one of the hardest challenges in life,” Buhari was reported as saying.
Buhari urged all Nigerians to wholeheartedly support President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The Lagos State Government (Govt) has approved the collection of the Federal Government’s ₦1,000 vehicle ownership verification fee.
Abdulhafiz Toriola, the Permanent Secretary of the state’s Ministry of Transportation, announced this at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday.
The policy is set to go into force in the state in July 2023.
The new initiative’s implementation aims to streamline and improve the process of car ownership verification, which is the annual Proof of Ownership Certificate (POC), according to Toriola.
He went on to say that the proposal is in conformity with the National Road Traffic Regulation 2012, as modified, No. 101, Vol. 99; Section 73 (1).
“To this end, the Federal Government has introduced the issuance of annual Proof of Ownership Certificate for all registered vehicles. This certificate will serve as official documentation of a vehicle’s legal owners upon successful completion of the necessary requirements and procedures.
“The POC will contain vital information including the vehicle’s registration details, such as, license number plate, model, year of manufacture in addition to owner’s name and address,” the official explained.
The decision aims to track the real-time status and integrity of all vehicles registered on the National Vehicle and Identification Scheme (NVIS) database, among other things.
“We believe that the POC will help track the real time status and guarantee the integrity of all vehicles registered on the National Vehicle and Identification Scheme (NVIS) database and it is based on the safety and security it guaranteed that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved for its commencement in Lagos State, hence this briefing to enlighten the public,” Toriola said.
GE Vernova’s Gas Power business and Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN) recently hosted a ‘Girls in STEM’ event to inspire 100 secondary school girls and bridge the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers to prepare the next generation of women engineers and innovators.
The event in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, was held in commemoration of the International Day for Women in Engineering, and featured educative panel discussions on leadership, exploring different STEM careers and mentorship.
The aim of the Girls in STEM program is to encourage girls to choose careers in STEM, expose them to a network of female role models and organize experiential and discovery sessions to provide an immersive experience into potential careers they can explore in STEM.
The program was organized in collaboration with GE Vernova’s Gas Power customers; Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Exploration & Production Limited, First Independent Power Limited (FIPL) and TransAfam Power Limited (Transafam). The participants who were drawn from five schools across the city of Port Harcourt, visited the power plants to experience potential careers in STEM.
According to UNESCO’s Institute of Statistics (UIS), less than 30% of the world’s researchers are women with low representation in the public, private and academic sectors.
Speaking at the event, Kenneth Oyakhire, Services Executive for GE Vernova’s Gas Power business in Sub-Saharan Africa, said, “It is important to delve beyond surface-level issues and identify the underlying factors that discourage girls from pursuing careers in STEM.
“We are dedicated to showcasing a wide range of opportunities available through our Girls in STEM initiatives, therefore paving the way for a future of high-quality careers in engineering, manufacturing, IT, and product management roles.”
Foluso Gbadamosi, Executive Director of Junior Achievement Nigeria, emphasized the significance of commemorating this day, stating that there is no better time than now to expose young girls to the possibilities of a career in STEM. She highlighted the importance of equipping them with the right mindset and showcasing the opportunities available to pursue their dreams.
Gbadamosi stressed the benefits of stimulating their interest and launching their STEM careers, not only for their economic future but also for building thriving communities.
She also underscored Junior Achievement Nigeria’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of quality education, gender equality, reduced inequalities, and partnership for the goals. Gbadamosi expressed appreciation for GE Vernova’s Gas Power business for its commitment towards the STEM program.
One of the beneficiaries of the corporate social responsibility activity thanked GE Vernova’s Gas Power business and JAN for giving girls the necessary exposure to guide them through their career choices. “The Girls in STEM programme has opened my eyes to see that nothing should stop me as a girl from pursuing a career in STEM.
“Seeing and hearing from successful women professionals in the male-dominated careers has encouraged us to explore opportunities in STEM, believing that we can be successful,” she added.
GE Vernova’s Gas Power business believes that the commercial imperative, coupled with the ongoing challenges of recruiting and retaining top female talent in STEM jobs, means organizations must make continued, real investment in closing the gender gap.
Gas Power business at GE Vernova will also continue to benchmark, explore, and implement employee programs and benefits that foster a fair and inclusive culture where all employees can thrive.

Analysis of the data showed that currency in circulation rose by 5.8 per cent from N2.38 trillion in April to N2.53 trillion in May.
The rise is slowly sprinting to the prehistoric peek of N2.73 trillion of currency outside banks as of September 2022, which was 85 per cent of N3.2 trillion of CIC.
A 10-month breakdown that prompted the naira redesign policy showed a N3.23 trillion currency in circulation in September 2022, N3.29 trillion in October 2022, November 2022, N3.16trillion and December 2022, N3.01 trillion.
Further analysis showed that in January 2023, currency in circulation was N3.29trillion, February 2023, N982billion, March 2023, N1.68trillion, April 2023, N2,38trillion, and N2.53 trillion in May.
Also, the 10-month breakdown of currency outside the banks revealed that the month of September was N2.72 trillion, October N2.83 trillion, November N2.65 trillion and December N2.57; while January recorded its lowest at N792 billion, February N843 billion, March N1.45 trillion, April N2.07 trillion and N2.18 trillion for the month of May.
According to experts, the significant increase is primarily attributed to the spillover effect of the cash crunch. They suggested that average Nigerians are hoarding the new notes and refraining from depositing them in banks due to a lack of trust in electronic banking systems.

“There is an event that I never shared but remains indelible in my memory. I attended St. Paul Primary School in Idi Oro, Mushin, Lagos, a public school, I remember that on my very first day in school, there was a very rowdy session because people were struggling to get enlisted. I am not sure my mum will remember this incident, the head of the school then, because of the rowdiness and the first come, first serve arrangement, actually slapped my mother. I was six years old, that was in 1967, I can never forget and it made me resolute that no child should be made to go through a situation like that to access education and no child should be disadvantaged as a result of the status of his parents.
“The UNICEF standardization report showed that only 61 percent of children between ages 6 and 11 are in school; this is a dangerous situation and I just thought that no child should be denied basic and quality education, no child should be made to walk up to a mile before he or she could access quality education and I think this is a big opportunity to achieve what I have always wanted to do which is making education easy and accessible to every child,” said Onasanya who recently bagged an honourary doctorate degree in finance from the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti.

Meanwhile, the outgoing President of the Rotary Club of Lagos, Joseph Aikhigbe, recalled how Onasanya promptly acceded to their request for the construction of the classrooms which underlined the property mogul’s commitment to the upliftment of education in Nigeria.
“Education is a powerful agent of change, it stabilises lives and livelihood and drives long-term economic growth. It is every child’s right to have access to quality and basic education. We thank Dr Bisi Onasanya; we approached him on this laudable project and he showed his commitment and kept his word. It is difficult to find people like him, he only told us it is done, and today we are commissioning the project. We laid the foundation on September 29, 2022, and today the edifice is standing before us,” he said.
An elated Oba Ogunsanwo said he immediately approved the land for the construction of the project because it aligned with his vision for the kingdom. He said Dr Onasanya’s kind gestures would go a long way in solidifying education in his domain.
“When I ascended the throne, I said attention to education will be one of the bedrock of what we do and my three years of ascension have been dedicated to educating our children because they are not only our tomorrow, they are our today, if you train a child, you are educating a nation. We thank God to have bestowed this edifice on the people of Ilara Kingdom through Dr Bisi Onasanya. We also thank Bowen College for providing the furniture and the Bank of Industry for the e-library as well as the physical library. We can’t thank you enough and may God reward you,” said Oba Ogunsanwo, who is the Vice Chairman of Lagos State Council of Obas.

One of the major highlights of the event was the bestowment of the chieftaincy title of Akinrogun and Yeye Akinrogun of Ilara Kingdom on Dr Onasanya and his wife, Helen, by Oba Ogunsanwo.
Many royal fathers within Lagos and beyond graced the well-attended event. Other dignitaries at the ceremony include the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Abayomi Abolaji; the Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Wahab Olawale Alawiye-King and property merchant, Otunba Yemi Lawal, among others.

The ride-hailing app, which launched in Lagos in 2019, sets itself apart in allowing drivers and passengers to negotiate a fare, instead of this being set by an algorithm.
The passenger provides details of the trip they wish to make and offers a fare, which drivers can accept, decline, or respond to with a counter-offer – without being penalized if they refuse a trip.
Passengers can then choose from the available offers, taking into account the fare, car model, estimated arrival time and the driver’s rating. Similarly, drivers can choose those requests that they deem cost-efficient, profitable and convenient.
As such, the app empowers both passengers and drivers. In addition, inDrive typically charges a substantially lower service fee than most mobility apps; in Ibadan, this is currently set at zero, so that drivers keep the full amount earned.
Safety matters
Drivers applying to inDrive must go through background checks, including verification of necessary documents, licenses, and permits. Passengers are encouraged to rate their rides, to provide feedback on driver behavior and service quality.
The app has built-in safety features: passengers can share their trip details with friends or family, with real-time GPS tracking during rides. The app also features an emergency button to contact authorities, and has a dedicated support team on hand 24/7.
A timely alternative
Timothy Oladimeji, Business Development Representative at inDrive, Nigeria, says that this is an excellent time to extend the ride-hailing service to Ibadan. “The recent driver strikes suggest that there is a need for an alternative approach to ride-hailing.
That’s where we come in; our model allows drivers and passengers to negotiate a fair price, rather than having an algorithm dictate this. We believe this offers a viable solution to many of the problems facing ride-hailing in Nigeria at present.”
inDrive is one of the world’s fastest-growing ride-hailing service platforms. According to data.ai (formerly App Annie), it was the second most downloaded mobility application in 2022, with around 175 million downloads worldwide. inDrive currently operates in 617 cities in 47 countries, with regional hubs in the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and countries in the CIS.
