Nigeria, China to Strengthen Ties on Agriculture, Other Sectors

The Nigerian government and the government of the Peoples Republic of China, on Thursday, July 7 agreed to forge stronger ties on agriculture, manufacturing, health, infrastructure and education.

Both countries made the commitment in Abuja when the representatives of the Peoples Republic of China, led by the Vice Minister of Commerce, Mr Qian Keming, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun.

The Minister said that they were in Nigeria to see how China could provide finance to help Nigeria’s economy. Adeosun thanked the Chinese for speedily attending to matters concerning Nigeria through the China Eximbank, saying that Nigeria was happy to collaborate with China in critical sectors.
