The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Southern University International Centre for Information Technology and Development, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA and the ICT University Campus of Cameroon to establish collaborative relationship to top up degree and online programmes for Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
Both foreign universities were represented by Prof. Victor Mbarika, Prof. Terry Bryd and Prof. Linda, while the polytechnic was represented by members of the management and academic board who witnessed the important occasion.
The Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Shattima A. Saidu, was appointed Professor of Research and Senior Mentoring Scholar by the Southern University International Centre for Information Technology and Development.
One of the university’s representatives, Victor Mbarika, said that the offer was made after a careful assessment of Dr. Shattima A. Saidu’s educational qualifications, wealth of experience in teaching and research in the tertiary education sector and service rendering to the community.
The Rector, Saidu, expressed his appreciation to the team and assured them of doing everything possible to ensure the success of the collaboration.
