Official rates obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that N305.5 was exchanged for one US dollar from N305 it was exchanged for previously, one Pound Sterling was exchanged for N402.6 against yesterday’s exchange rate of N402.8 and one Euro traded at N343.1 compared to N343.2 it sold for yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian currency also dropped at the parallel market, trading at N424 to the Dollar compared with N423 it exchanged for on Thursday.
Pound Sterling exchanged for N550 against N555 on Thursday, while the Euro was exchanged for N470 from N465 it was sold for previously.
The Naira had crashed by 0.20% to the Dollar, on Thursday, September 15, to close at N306.93 compared to a leap of 1.39% recorded on Wednesday, September 14, when it traded at N306.33 at the interbank or spot FX market.
It jumped by 1.39% to the Dollar, on Wednesday, September 14, to close at N306.33 compared to a plunge of 0.86% recorded on Friday, September 9, when the Dollar traded at N310.64 at the interbank market or Spot FX market.
