Naira Drops 0.23% Against Dollar at Spot FX Market

The Naira dropped 0.23% to the Dollar on Tuesday, September 6, to close at N314.92 compared to an appreciation of added 0.18% recorded on Monday when the naira closed N314.20 to one US dollar at the interbank or spot FX market.

The local currency had gained 0.18% against the Dollar on Monday, to close at N314.20 compared with a drop of 0.47% on Friday at the interbank market when it closed N314.77 to one US dollar.

On Monday, the Nigerian currency remained stable at N305.5 to one US Dollar according to rates obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

However, on Tuesday, the performance of the Naira at the parallel market improved, as traders sold N422 to one dollar compared to N424 it was sold for Monday. It remained stable to the Pounds Sterling and Euro selling at N545 and N465 respectively same as previous day’s rate.
