Naira Continues Free Fall To N368/$ At Black Market

The Nigerian naira on Thursday, August 17, continued its plunge against the United State of America dollar at the parallel segment of the Nigerian Foreign Exchange market.

The local currency shed one point to exchange at N368, weaker than N367 exchanged for on Wednesday,August 16.

Against the British Pound Sterling, the naira closed at the rate of N478 and against the European Single Currency, Euro, the local currency closed at the rate of N432.

At the Bureau De Change (BDC) window, the naira was sold at N363 to the dollar, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N478 and N432.

However, the naira appreciated at the investors’ window, exchanging at N361.17 stronger than N362.39.
