One of the men accusing Michael Jackson of sexual abuse in a hard-hitting new documentary has been exposed as the alleged former boyfriend of the King of Pop’s niece.
Wade Robson features in the film Leaving Neverland, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah last month (Jan19), and now Brandi Jackson has taken to Twitter to reveal she dated him for “over seven years” after her late uncle introduced them.
“Wade and I were together for over 7 years, but I bet that isn’t in his ‘documentary’ because it would ruin his timeline,” she writes. “And did I mention, it was my uncle, #MichaelJackson, who set us up? Wade is not a victim, #WadeRobsonIsaLiar.”
Robson and James Safechuck, who also features in the damning Leaving Neverland both claimed the pop star sexually abused them in the 1990s and brought civil suits against the Jackson Estate following the Thriller singer’s death in 1999, but their cases were thrown out in 2017 by a judge, who ruled the estate administrator could not be held liable for the singer’s behaviour.
Meanwhile, Jackson’s family members have slammed the documentary, calling it “disgraceful”.
In her tweet attack on her alleged ex, Brandi adds: “You’ve burned so many bridges that now the only time you are #relevant is when you headline with my family’s name next to yours. It’s time to stop these lies and live your own life.”
She also shared a photo of herself and Robson as kids.
Leaving Neverland will air on TV next month (Mar19).
