LASU Roads Get Facelift as New VC Assumes Office

Some bad roads within the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo had been repaired barely two weeks after the assumption of office by its new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olarenwaju Fagbohun as  trucks were seen off-loading sand and granites to cover up the various bad portions of the bad roads on the campus.

Engineers from the university’s works and physical planning unit were seen supervising the workers at the weekend as they put finishing touches to the road rehabilitation.‎ ‎

Prof. Fagbohun on assumption of office on Jan. 11 had said that one of his missions was to improve on the university’s infrastructure.

It was also reported that the former ‎Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Obafunwa, speaking with some newsmen last year had attributed the bad roads to the ‎ongoing construction within the campus.

He said then that transportation of building materials by heavy-duty vehicles and trucks had contributed to the damaging of the roads, adding then that until construction was completed, nothing could be done.‎
