Lagos Revamps Ilupeju Library For Public Use

 Lagos State government has revamped the Ilupeju public Library for general use as part of its effort to promote reading culture among students and the public.

According to the Special Adviser on Education, Obafela Bank-Olemoh at the ‘re-opening reiterates the commitment of the state government to building a Lagos that works for all, regardless of the social class and status.

Olemoh stated that the library was upgraded through a Public Private Partnership with Custodian and Allied Insurance to facilitate improvement with learning in a conducive environment for both students as well as other professionals.

The group manager of Custodian and Allied Insurance, Mr. Oluwole Oshin lauded the effort of the State government for enabling them to partner in the development of the community.

He also stressed that the children would be able to access 83,000 e-textbooks and over 10million articles from the library also with an additional textbooks added to the shelves.

Executive Secretary Local Education, Olusola Ajala expressed satisfaction with the  introduction of e-learning to the community, urged those in the community to utilize the it, particularly the children.
