Kia Unveils Four New Vehicles At 2016 SEMA Show

Envisioning a future when vehicles will not only drive autonomously but be tailor-built to our lifestyles, Kia Motors has unveiled four all-new customized vehicles at the opening day of the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

Speaking on the new designs and concepts, the CEO, KMA, Michael Sprague said “Over the course of our 22 years on the U.S market, we’ve watched with pride as our vehicles have helped people live their active and diverse lifestyles,”

“This year’s SEMA show gives us the opportunity to ponder what the future of living the autonomous life may one day resemble,” he added.

The new customised vehicles are the Niro Triathlon, School of Rock Sedona, Sorento Ski Gondola and the Soul First Class.

For the Niro Triathlon, Kia turned its new Niro hybrid into the ultimate vehicle for a triathlete, it features a small pickup bed and other nooks for storing gewar, in addition to a human touch ergonomic reclining chair for the athlete.

The School of Rock Sodona, Kia partnered with School of Rock to turn a Sedona minivan into a mobile recording studio, complete with digital mixing board, boom mike, near field speakers and acoustic panelling.

While the Sorento Ski Gondola is all about the outdoors, it’s basically an autonomous bus for taking skiers up and down mountains. It has a waterproof interior to deal with ski gear. Another unique feature of this car is the set Dominator Rubber Tracks.

And the Soul First Class is basically a Kia Soul with an interior that has been reoriented around autonomous driving. It has no steering wheel, and the front seats face the rear, allowing occupants to converse or watch a 40 inch Samsung TV, A custom center console includes two tablets for controlling vehicle functions.
