FG Spikes FIRS Revenue Target to N6.7trillion in 2018

The Federal Government has raised revenue target of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, from N4 trillion to N6.7 trillion in 2018.

FIRS Chairman, Babatunde Fowler, made the disclosures while delivering his keynote address at the Institute of Directors ( IOD) members evening in Ikoyi, Lagos on Wednesday.

“Although not yet approved by the National Assembly, it is put at N6.7 trillion,” Fowler said.

It will be recalled that the FIRS broke boundaries in 2017, notwithstanding the country’s slow activities and exit from recession, to achieve a record N4 trillion in tax revenue collections.
