Facebook Charges In Naira

Nigerian social media marketers using facebook to get across their customers and audience can now breathe a sigh of relief as the world’s premier social network now have the option to charge in naira local currency for promotions and advertisement.

Facebook since inception has charged advertisers using the US dollar. According to findings, this has discouraged so many Nigerians from promoting their business as a result of the high exchange rate the naira exchanges for the dollar.

With the recent floating of the naira, paying in dollar will prove to be very unpredictable as the rate can change at any time thereby making budget for adverts using facebook a luxury.

With this move by facebook, Nigerians can now advertise without worrying about the exchange rate as they will be charged with the Naira, our ocal currency.
