Entrepreneurs Banter At CEO Roundtable Beta Summit

The CEO Roundtable Beta Summit which held today at the main auditorium of University of Lagos was an incredible platform of exposure to the world of entrepreneurship. It was a profound means of discourse between the young and aspiring entrepreneurs and exemplary leaders.

The summit was graced by top business executives such as Mrs. Janet Adetu (CEO Etiquette Consortium), Mr Ayodele DADA (UNILAG/West Africa best student with an unprecedented CGPA of 5.0), CEO, CHISCO Group of Companies, Chief (Dr.) Chidi Anyaegbu, and hosts of other distinguished executives.

A representative of Connect Nigeria, Williams Uzoga gave an impressive acumen about the summit, noting some basic issues confronting young aspiring entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

Uzoga said that young entrepreneurs in the country have not been able to strategically harness the growing influence of social media on businesses, and how it can serve as a gigantic means of publicity and contacts.

In his words: “Every youth today on the row hungers for information on what is trending, latest happenings on fashion, and sports “

As a young entrepreneur, you should be able to discern these facts and follow up on their tastes via social media,’’ he advised.

CEO Etiquette Consortium, Mrs. Janet Adetu spoke on etiquette and also displaying a professional behavior as aspiring CEO.

According to her, ettiquette is the manner of conventional behavior. She said it is an appropriate and acceptable manner of approach and relationship. She advised that the best way to be on track as an aspiring entrepreneur is to demonstrate a pivotal level of coordination, planning and excellence.

During an interview with bizwatchnigeria, Adetu revealed that the major problem affecting young entrepreneurs today is their lack of soft skill, mannerism and the quick money syndrome.

She expressed optimism that if the youths in the country can suppress their desire for instant gratification, they will be able to pursue their goals more assiduously.

Asked if his expectation of the roundtable discourse was duly met, a participant stated that the summit gave him far beyond what he anticipated.  He said that he practically noted every word uttered by the speakers, and he was absolutely pleased by the outcome of the event.

Also, Bizwatchnigeria had an interview with Mr. Ayodele DADA, who advised young entrepreneurs to do things differently and not conform to the trend. He stressed that conformity to the business standards of others would affect their performance.

The 2016 CEO roundtable beta summit was a huge success and a needed medium to awaken the napping minds of youths in Nigeria. It created an avenue for knowledge, connections and ideas which will travel a long way in surging creativity.
