The United States of America Dollar on Friday, August 18, fell to its lowest in a week against the Japanese yen on Friday.
The greenback crashed as investors sought out the safe-haven currency in light of continuing uncertainty over the White House’s ability to push through its economic agenda.
The dollar fell to 108.82 yen, its lowest since Aug. 11 and just above its lowest since mid-April.
The Sterling, meanwhile slumped against the euro and was poised for a third consecutive week of losses as a global selloff in risky assets prompted investors to cut bets after a week of tepid U.K. data.
