Market Capitalisation Drops N9.39billion As Highly Capitalised Stocks Crash

Stock Market Investors Lose N383bn In October

Equities trading at the Nigerian Stock Market on Thursday, July 14, continued on a negative note as seen in previous trading session in the new week.

As A result, market capitalisation  lost N9.39 billion as N9.86 trillion was recorded at the end of trading activities against N9.87 trillion recorded on Wednesday, July 13.

The market indicators closed lower shedding by 0.10 per cent due to price losses by some highly capitalised equities, NAN reports.

However, ‎market turnover closed positive as volume moved up by seven percent against 8.30 percent decline recorded in the previous session.

First Bank of Nigeria Holdings Plc, Zenith Bank Plc and Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc played the most active role to boost market turnover, Dangote Cement Plc and Zenith Bank Plc, top market value list.
