The Federal government has declared Monday, May 30th public holiday to commemorate the 2016 Democracy day which falls on Sunday May 29th.
The Minister of Interior, Retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement released by the Permanent Secretary of ministry, Bassey Akpanyung.
The statement read, “Dambazau congratulates Nigerians on the attainment of one year in office of President Muhammadu Buhari and enjoined all to continue to support the President in his sustained effort in building a peaceful, enduring and democratic legacy.
