Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Chimsom has emerged as the show’s first Head of House (HOH), defeating 23 fellow contestants in a four-stage challenge held on Monday.
The contest required housemates to locate and retrieve four differently coloured stones from designated stations, including the “Desert” and “Greenland,” in the shortest possible time. Chimsom completed the task in two minutes and eight seconds to secure the season’s first leadership position.
Following his victory, Chimsom selected fellow housemate Abi as Deputy Head of House.
However, this year’s edition introduced a major twist to the traditional HOH privilege. Instead of occupying the exclusive Head of House lounge, Chimsom was instructed to draw the name of another housemate from a box.
The random selection produced Tram, who then exercised the privilege of choosing another housemate to share the luxury suite. Tram selected Sheba, making the duo the first occupants of the HOH lounge despite neither holding the leadership title.
The development marks one of several format changes introduced in Season 11 of the reality television show, themed “Show Ya Sef.”
The season features 24 housemates competing for the grand prize of ₦160 million, one of the largest prize pools in the programme’s history.
