The Nigerian Stock Market continued movements south on Thursday, November 17, as lead indices of the bourse further caved in to bear pressure.
As a result of this, the market capitalisation recorded a loss of N18.4 billion closing at N8.81 trillion, while the all-share index shed 53.35 points or by 0.21 percent to finish at 25,599.79 points.
With market breadth staying negative, Total led the losers’ dropping N13.97k to close at N276.3k per share, while NASCON led the advancers gaining 37k to close at N7.88k per share.
GTBank and Standard Trust Assurance Plc (STACO) emerged the two most traded equities at the stock market on Thursday. While GTBank sold 29.17 million shares at N627.3 million with a share value of N21.40k, STACO traded 25.7 million units valued at N12.8 million with a share price of 50k.
At the end of trading, investors staked N1.19 billion on 161.6 million shares in 2,086 deals against N1.35 billion made yesterday from 145.7 million shares in 2,421 deals.
