The Naira, on Friday, August 26, appreciated by 0.60% against the Dollar to close at N314.95 compared with 0.29% lost on Thursday to close at N316.84 at the spot FX or interbank market.
Exchange rates from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the Naira remained flat to the Dollar, selling at the rate of N305.
The Pounds Sterling was sold for N403 in contrast to Thursday’s N402.2, while N344.6 was exchanged for one Euro compared with N344.2 it was exchanged for Thursday.
At the parallel market, the Nigerian currency weakened further to the Dollar to sell at N412 compared to N405 on Thursday. The Naira also worsened to the Pounds Sterling at the parallel market trading at N530 compared to previous days’ selling rate of N516, while N452 was exchanged for one Euro in contrast to N445 on Thursday.
