Work On Lekki Deep Seaport Will Commence In April

Managing Director of the Lekki Deep Seaport, Lagos, Mr Haresh Ascoani, has said that the project will create numerous jobs and attract $25 billion investment when completed, adding that work will commence in April.

Ascoani made this announcement while receiving the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Malam Habib Abdullahi who met with core investors at the project site, earlier this week.

According to a statement issued by the authority’s spokesperson, Musa Iliya, the  NPA boss said the Lekki Deep Seaport project was an example of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) success story that will transform the Nigerian economy.

Ascoani told the authority’s boss that China construction company would commence the construction by April, adding that the port promoters, Tolaram  Group, were working with the state government and the federal ministry of works on building additional roads to ease traffic when the port becomes operational.
