Super Eagles’ Victor Moses has said he wants to win trophies with Chelsea after he got off to a winning start in his international career with Nigeria.
Moses became an African champion a year after he made his long-awaited debut for the Super Eagles. “Winning the Africa Cup of Nations was a massive thing, both for the country and me personally, so I just want to carry on enjoying my football and hopefully winning trophies,” he told the Chelsea website.
“In my position it’s important to create chances but, of course, if the opportunity comes along, it’s important for me to chip in with a few goals as well. It’s important to have as many players in the team as possible scoring.
“There are still a lot of games to go, I just want to keep on improving in every game I play, and score a few more goals if I can as well. I think I’m capable of scoring more, but my main priority is working hard for the team.”
He added: “I’m at a club which won the Champions League last season and which has won a lot of trophies in the past. “It’s a great club and if I can win something this season it would mean a lot to me, as well as helping my development for the years ahead.”
