Tragic! Deputy British High Commissioner, Carter, Slumps, Dies At MMIA

The Deputy British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Peter Leslie Carter, yesterday, slumped and died at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos.

The Envoy had taken ill aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from the United States, before his arrival into the country.

A source privy to the matter stated that the medical personnel attached to the terminal tried to revive him after he collapsed shortly after disembarking without success.

However, the exact cause of his death could not be ascertained as at the time this report was filed.

Born on 19 November 1956, he was Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia 2007–2012.
