“Technology Start-ups Investment Will Grow Nigeria’s Software Market” — Johnson

Minister of Communication Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson, has said that investments in the technology start-ups will grow  indigenous software industry and bridge the funding gap that bedeviled Nigerian technology firms.

According to the Minister, the investment will trigger the tapping of potentials of the software industry in the 21st century society, adding that it would increase the participation and investment of the venture capitalists and private equity managers in the ICT in Nigeria, which will hit over $100 million in the next few years.

Johnson who reiterated the Ministry’s mandate of promoting the growth of the ICT industry, said the investment in software will create an avenue for the growth and survival of businesses in the digital economy.
