The bullish sentiments found its was back to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, on Tuesday, September 22, as transactions recovered from a two day plunge to close north.
The All share Index (ASI) scooped 0.53 per cent to close at 30,426.10 as against 0.22 per cent loss on Monday, September 21 to close at 30,265.90 points.
Similarly, Market Capitalization gained N55.1 billion to close at N10.5 trillion as against N22.95 billion lost on Monday to close at N10.40 trillion.
Nine of the 11 sectoral indices led by the NSE Insurance Index which gained 1.35 per cent to close at 140.31 points, closed positive today.
Axamansard Insurance Plc, topped 19 equity gainers with a 5.00 per cent or 13 kobo gain to close at N2.73 followed by Seplat Petroleum Plc which added 4.94 per cent or N12 to close at N255, while Livestock Plc increased 4.65 per cent or 8 kobo to close at N1.80 per share.
Skye Bank Plc appreciated 4.63 per cent or 10 kobo to close at N2.26 per share while Evans Medical Plc increased 4.05 per cent or 3 kobo to close at 77 kobo per share.
On the other hand, Eterna Plc led 19 equity losers as it depreciated 4.64 per cent or 9 kobo each to close at N1.85 per share, followed by Diamond Bank Plc which declined 4.57 per cent or 16 kobo to close at N3.34 per share respectively, while UBA Capital Plc decreased 4.08 per cent or 6 kobo to close at N1.41 per share.
Wema Bank Plc dropped 4.00 per cent or 4 kobo to close at 96 kobo per share while Stanbic IBTC Plc lost 2.72 per cent or 59 kobo to close at N21.07 per share.
In total, investors traded 195.6 million shares worth N3.1 billion in 3,262 deals compared with 175.6 million shares valued at N1.6 billion in 3,157 deals traded yesterday.
