The Peoples Democratic Party Board of Trustees has admitted that the suspension of the Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko, was an error.
Senator Walid Jubril, Secretary of the BoT, admitted this in an interview he granted the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation, monitored in Abuja, on Thursday. He also refuted reports that the fate of the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, was discussed during the BoT meeting on Wednesday.
The BoT member also used the occasion to challenge those clamouring for the removal of the PDP chairman, to present a convincing reason for such a call.
He said, “If people are asking him to leave, what is their reason? If they bring a reason, we will look at it.”
