From Passion To Empire: Microsoft To Give 5 Nigerian Entrepreneurs N3.5 Million

Tech and software giant, Microsoft, has announced that it will be awarding the sum of N3.5m to five Nigerian entrepreneurs through its ‘From Passion To Empire’ competition which it’s using to mark the launch of its new Lumia smartphone.

The American company says it is set to support the development of entrepreneurship in Nigeria and will give out the sum to Nigerians with brilliant business ideas in the Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual SIM activation.

The General Manager, Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services, West Africa, Joseph Umunakew said the ‘From Passion to Empire’ which will run from Monday, February 16 to Tuesday, March 31 would help young entrepreneurs push their boundaries and test the strength of their ideas.

According to him, “Running a start-up is challenging in any environment, so Microsoft wants to empower entrepreneurs in Nigeria who have great business ideas.”

Winners of the “From Passion to Empire” will also be mentored by highly successful celebrity entrepreneurs.

To participate in ‘Passion to Empire’, interested entrepreneurs need to buy the Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual SIM or any other Lumia smartphone or tablet, make a video detailing how you plan to grow your business ,label the video with your name and IMEI number and upload to www.microsoft.com/mobile.
