The much talked about Homeowners’ Charter introduced by the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, for property owners to regularise their land document, will today (Monday) be inaugurated.

The charter, according to a statement, is an intervention to ease the acquisition of building approvals from the state’s planning authority for homeowners who register to regularise the documents of their houses within six weeks of commencing the programme.

The statement added that homeowners could also obtain Certificates of Occupancy within nine months and at hugely discounted rates if they applied within the six weeks.

Commissioner for Urban and Physical Planning, Gbenga Otenuga, explained that under the Homeowners’ Charter, the fees to be paid for the acquisition of building permits and C-of-Os had been reduced.
