Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) closed northward after the public holiday for the Id-el Fitri celebration on Thursday, with the market equities’ capitalisation gaining N65.696 billion; while the All Share Index appreciated by 206.21 basis points or 0.55 per cent.
Petroleum marketer, Total Nigeria, led 37 others advancers, chalking 650 kobo; followed by its peer-Forte Oil which grabbed 541 kobo; Guinness Nigeria notched 345 kobo; Conoil chalked 151 kobo; while Cadbury Nigeria gained 109 kobo.
Others included Flour Mills of Nigeria, 100 kobo; just like Mobil Nigeria and Dangote Cement; while Lafarge Cement WAPCO and UAC of Nigeria both appreciated by 50 kobo; among others.
Building materials’ maker- Ashaka Cement led the decliners’ table with 100 kobo; ahead of Okomu Oil Palm’s 55 kobo; Zenith Bank lost 21 kobo; University Press depreciated by 15 kobo; while IHS dropped 14 kobo;
