The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has warned the federal government on the impact of the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on students and the educational sector in Nigeria.
The president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr. Abdulwaheed Omar, urged the government to not only end the strike immediately by executing the agreement it entered with ASUU, but also to declare a state of emergency in education.
He also stated that the congress found it completely unacceptable that government refused to implement agreements it willingly entered into.
