Nigerian Customs Service Records N800bn Revenue In Eight Months

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has recorded over N800 billion in revenue, which is about 70 per cent of its N1.2 trillion target for the year.

Some sources who spoke on the NCS performance said that the Comptroller-General, Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko and his men have exceeded the expectations of the Presidency and the Economic Management Team (EMT) in revenue generation.

A source added that under Dikko, the service has contributed over N800 billion to the Federation Account as at the end of last month and is also working towards making a contribution of over N1.3 trillion to the government’s reserves before the end of the year.
