Nestle Harps On Creating Shared Value For National Development

Nestle Nigeria Plc, has once again reiterated the importance of creating shared value among stakeholders in order to impact on national development.

The company, at the 2014 edition of its Nestle Creating Shared Value(CSV) Media workshop held today, at the Akita Darlington Hall, Plot CDE, Industrial Crescent, Off Town Planning Way, Ilupeju,said the CSV workshop is part of its commitment towards promoting public understanding of nutrition, water and agriculture/rural development issues.

According to the Managing Director and Chief Executive, Nestle Nigeria, Dharnesh Gordhon, the company’s commitment to creating Shared Value is key in the pursuit of its objective to be the leader in Nutrition, Health and Wellness issues as well as the industry reference for financial performance, trusted by all stakeholders.

In his words, “The primary way we create value is by offering consumers tasty nutritious products that contribute to their health and wellness. But we also create value for people and society across our value chain.”

Speaking on the CSV workshop, he remarked that the media is the most influential tool for creating, influencing and reflecting opinion and consciousness which is why Nestle has created the CSV media platform to engage and empower the media with the requisite  trainings in reporting issues around water, agriculture, environment, nutrition challenges and sustainability in Nigeria.
