NAICOM To Dialogue With Operators On ‘No Premium No Cover’

National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) said it has concluded plans to meet with representatives of underwriters and brokers for the purpose of finding solutions to challenges observed in the ‘no premium no cover’ insurance law which it started enforcing since January, 2013. The commission is expected to use the opportunity of the meeting to resolve the growing mistrust between underwriters and brokers on the implementation of the policy. It was learnt that brokers are worried that underwriters may by-pass them to provide cover for businesses rejected due to non payment of premium.
