Kogi, LGs Spend N1.37bn On Water, Health, Education

Captain Idris Wada (rtd), the Governor of Kogi State, has said that the state government and the local governments have embarked on projects worth N1.037bn in solar boreholes, construction of primary health clinic, classrooms, purchase of ambulances and water projects.

Speaking during a television broadcast to the residents today on his administration’s second year anniversary, the governor stated that the state government disbursed about N445m to projects under the Community and Social Development Project in various sectors like education, rural electrification, transport and water. He added that the state government paid N495m as its counterpart fund under the MDG’s Conditional Grant Scheme in 2012.
