The Kano State Government has ordered all public and private schools in the state to resume academic activities today.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Public Relations Department, state Ministry of Education, Hajiya Hadiza Habib, in Kano yesterday.
“All schools in the state, both public and private, have been directed to reopen on October 12 and 13 for boarding and day students, respectively. This will mark the beginning of 2014/2015 academic session,’’ the statement read in part.
The statement, however, directed that only the SS3 students of GGSS Unguwa Uku and GGSS Danzabuwa should resume, while the rest of the students in these schools should await for further directive.
The statement urged parents, teachers and students to cooperate and complement government’s effort towards proving quality education to its citizenry.
