Imo Completes 310km Roads with N18bn

A detailed report of projects provided on Tuesday by the Imo State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr. Nick Opara-Ndudu, showed that a total of 310 kilometres of roads have been constructed in Imo State in the last two years, with another 15 kilometers of the roads being constructed in each local government area.

The projects, which cut across all the 27 local governments in the state, are part of 456 kilometres of road set aside in the first phase of its rural infrastructural transformation.

It also gave the cost of the completed roads as N18m

The report stated that the state government decided to focus on roads because it believes roads are like arteries that will drive its infrastructural development plan, stressing that the government was committed to restoring the original master plan of the city.
