Heathrow Airport Posts 3.4% Growth In Passengers’ Traffic In March

The London Heathrow airport recorded its busiest period ever in March with a record 5.95 million passengers travelling through the UK’s hub, an increase of 3.4 per cent on March 2014.

The airport was said to have largely benefitted from an earlier Easter travel rush.

Seats per aircraft increased 1.6 per cent to 206.4, while load factors increased 1.6 per cent points to 73.3 per cent. Passengers per aircraft jumped 3.2 per cent to 151.3

Within emerging markets, passenger volumes were particularly strong to Mexico, which was up 26.5 per cent, China up 20.2 per cent and the Middle East & Central Asia up 7.6 per cent. North American segments continued their robust performance with volumes increasing 6 per cent.
