Health Workers To Resist Manipulation In NLC Election

Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Kaduna State Council, has said that it would resist any attempt by anyone to interfere in the rescheduled March 12 Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) elections.

Speaking with newsmen  on Tuesday, March 10, the Kaduna State Chairman of MHWUN, Comrade Emmanuel A. Wudiri, said they would ensure that all the factors that led to the cancellation of the last elections were checked, adding that the union’s delegates had been instructed to wait behind after casting their vote to guard against manipulation.

“We have decided that this rescheduled NLC elections will not be truncated as the last one and we will resist any attempt to interfere with the process.”

“We know that the last elections were cancelled because of the crisis that ensued during the process. And we know very well, too, that it was because our National Chairman, Comrade Ayuba P. Wabba, who is contesting for the NLC presidency, was in the lead. We have a large number of delegates and are assured of victory,” he said.
