FG Seeks Help From France, Cameroon To Battle B’Haram

In the wake of the persistent onslaught of the outlawed Islamic sect, Boko Haram, the federal government has appealed to France and Nigeria’s Francophone neighbors, especially Cameroon, to help battle insurgency.

Information Minister, Labaran Maku, who spoke about massacre of  the 29 students in their hostel, warned that the attacks could harm French and other Western interests in West Africa if left unchecked.

Maku said: “I think what we need is international cooperation from the French, from the French-speaking West African countries to work together to deal with this problem before it becomes a major problem for France, for Western interests operating in West Africa.

“It will devastate French interests if we allow this terror to go on,” the minister said.
