FG Opens Bid For NITEL’s Assets

The state-appointed liquidator on Monday revealed that the federal government is seeking buyers for the assets of distressed Nigerian Telecommunications Plc (NITEL).

Appointed by the National Council of Privatization (NPC), the liquidator, in an advert called for bidders with five years telecoms experience and a net worth of at least $200 million.

It added that bids must be tendered by 1600 GMT on June 30, stating that the assets would be handed over to the preferred bidder in December.
