In anticipation of the state’s maiden Economic Summit, the Jigawa State government has urged participants to come up with ways to attract investment and enhance effective utilization of agriculture and mineral resources in the state.
Alhaji Jubril Ahmed, a poultry farmer in Dutse, Jigawa, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that he hoped the summit will enhance farmers skills and boots commercial agriculture.
Ahmed told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse that the participants at the summit should also come up with ways to attract investment and enhance effective utilisation of agriculture and mineral resources in the state.
The Summit which will hold between May 29 and May 31 in Dutse, will focus on attracting investment in agriculture, Information and Communication Technology, solid minerals, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).
A member of British parliament, Lord Boateng and former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other investors within and outside the country were expected to attend the summit.
