A student of Government College, Tudun-Wada, Jos, Kingsley Emmanuel, has challenged examination bodies to ensure that the 21-year jail term prescribed for culprits of examination malpractice was enforced.
The student made the call yesterday in Jos when officials of the National Orientation Agency (NAO) took the campaign against examination malpractice to the doorsteps of students of the college.
“Before we were born, I believe this very law was in existence. Now we have become part of the society, and I never heard that someone was convicted and found guilty of such wrong doing.
“The lack of enforcement of the law has rather made the menace (examination malpractice) to be on the increase, because students believe even if they are caught, it will not go beyond the school.
