The Delta State Government has announced its collaboration with a private firm, Sarner PFM Ltd, to construct its N40.5 billion water and wildlife parks.
Richard Mofe-Damijo, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism disclosed this in Asaba at the presentation of the mid-term report of his ministry.
According to him, the parks which would be financed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative would be of world-class standard.
The project, he said, was one of the strategies by the Emmanuel Uduaghan administration to boost tourism in the state. He said that the water park would be located at Oleri in Udu Local Government Area, while the wildlife park would be sited at Ogwuashi-Uku in Aniocha Local Government Area.
