Cisco Forecasts 41% Annual Internet Growth In 5 Years

American multinational corporation and manufacturer of networking equipment, Cisco, has predicted a huge Internet growth for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), Nigeria inclusive, in the latest release of its Visual Networking Index (VNI) Global Forecast and Service Adoption report for 2013 to 2018.

Cisco said internet traffic in the Middle East and Africa would Grow 41 per cent annually in the next five years.

The report also predicted that internet traffic would surge 5.5 fold in the MEA region, up to 2018, which is a compound annual growth rate of 41 per cent, and that mobile data traffic would grow 14-fold up to 2018, a compound annual growth rate of 70 per cent.
