President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thusday, July 16, terminated the appointment of Patrick Ziakede Akpobolokemi as Director-General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, July 16, by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the termination of Akpobolokemi’s appointment takes immediate effect.
The statement reveals that Akpobolokemi is to hand over management of NIMASA and all government properties in his possession to the most senior officer in the agency, who would remain in charge until a new Director-General is appointed.
In similar development, President Buhari has also approved the dissolution of Governing Boards of federal parastatals, agencies and institutions. The president said the dissolution of the governing boards was with immediate effect.
