Here are the Best N2,000 Data Plans for Smartphones

With the increasingly cheap options of smart phone brands in the Nigerian market, finding the appropriate data plan from the different telcos, without breaking the bank, has become something of a norm for the everyday Nigerian. And trust Nigerians to look out for the plan that offers the most in data size at the cheapest prices.

This week, we’ll be looking at the different smartphone data plans that cost N2,000 and under from the different telecoms operators.

NB: Network speed/efficiency was not factored in the compilation of this list

Glo BIS Data Bundle for N1,000: This is considered to be the best data for the fans of the Blackberry smartphone, offering 3GB of data for just N1,000. Given how economical the Blackberry device is with data consumption, this plan makes it one reason why some still prefer the Blackberry smartphone despite the plethora of smart devices in the Nigerian market that offer better specs.

MTN Nigeria’s BetterMe Plan:


Telecom’s giant MTN recently introduced a new data plan in response to its competitors’ dedicated android data plan. Prior to this, the telecoms outfit had what was considered one of the most expensive data plans for smartphones, given that it had no dedicated plan for phones apart from legacy Blackberry devices. The new BetterMe plan offers 2.015 GB of data for N2015…Talk about a plan for the year.
