President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday stated that he would have gone ahead to pick his presidential nomination and expression of interest forms, even if he hadn’t been given an automatic ticket.
He stated this, while picking his forms for the 2015 presidential election.
In his words, “I would have still picked the forms if you did not give me the automatic ticket. But giving me the right of first refusal has attracted more people than it ordinarily would have.”
The forms were handed over to him by the National Organizing Secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha.
