Nigeria player and international star, Victor Anichebe admits he must score goals regularly to keep his place at Everton with the arrival of Arouna Kone from Wigan and Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona.
Anichebe scored a career best total of eight goals last term, as he managed to keep his previously persistent injury problems at bay.
“It’s going to be interesting, the way I finished last season needs to be the minimum this year. I need to build on the good latter stage of the season that I had,” Liverpool Echo quoted the Nigerian born star.
“I need to try to play as many games as possible, I need to try to get more goals this year and just stay fit, stay confident like I was last year and hopefully if I can do that it will be a good season.”
