Anambra Poll: APC Chieftains Storm INEC Office

The controversy that gulped the November 16 Anambra gubernatorial elections is seen to be gathering more steam as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  converged on Thursday and took their protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.

The Protesting crowd clamouring for the cancellation of the election comprised Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), Senator Bola Tinubu, 34 senators and 100 members of the House of Representatives.

It was gathered that protesters in the Federal Capital Territory, encountered a contingent of soldiers, officials of the Department of the State Services (DSS) and the police which blocked the entrance of the commission to deny them access.

The police had earlier denied  the party’s request to storm INEC headquarters, advising them to hold a press conference at its headquarters to express its grievances.
