Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, a subsidiary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings on Thursday launched a customer experience centre at Opebi, Lagos State.
The launch of the experience center is part of Stanbic IBTC’s goal to strengthen its relationship with its clients and delivering excellent service.
Representatives of the National Pension Commission (Pencom), Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) and Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) attended the luncheon of the customer experience centre.
Stanbic IBTC Pension Manager‘s new Customers Experience Centre is part of the company’s efforts to bridge the pension adoption and education gap. The center emphasizes the organization’s commitment to providing excellent service to its clients and assisting them in meeting their diverse pension needs.
Olumide Oyetan, Chief Executive Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers said that the organization is committed to helping customers to live and maintain their lifestyle even after retirement.
“As more people get enlightened about the importance of having a pension plan in both the formal and informal sectors, we must bring the experience closer to them. Therefore, opening another experience centre reinforces our commitment to providing accessible and top-quality pension service to our clients.”
Olumide said that he centre will put our customers at ease, make them feel at home and give them a sense of belonging.
“While our customers are waiting, they are empowered and educated about pension. Stanbic IBTC is changing the narrative about pension, we are reaching both old and young popular. Pension is a journey, the road might be bumpy but we will take the journey with our customers.”
He said that the youths are been encouraged to have think about their future especially their retirement days by opening a pension plan, contributing no matter how little, putting money aside and investing it.
While talking about ways in which Stanbic IBTC reaches its customers, Olumide said that ‘the pension on wheels’ is a way to reach customers, solve enquires, get new customers, provide pension services to organizations all from a fully operational mobile bus.
Olumide said that Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers will continue to educate their customers even after the retire, expose them to financial advise, provide them with health checkups and involve them in other events such as the fitness academy.
While celebrating the launch of the experience centre, the Executive Director Stanbic IBTC Pension, Nike Bajomo said that more centres will be opened to further strengthen the customer-client relationship.
“The centre will not only provide a good atmosphere for clients but it will increase the level of interaction (between our customers), solve their problems and further strengthen the relationship.”
Nike revealed that recruitment of staff will be done consciously to include other languages (Pigin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo) to eradicate language barrier. She said Stanbic IBTC Pension is probably the only pension fund administrator that has a functional multilingual call centre in Nigeria that operates 24/7.
